Welcome to Child's Play, a truly innovative Early Learning experience for children between 1 - 5 years of age.
Child's Play is a division of the ever popular and long established Small World Nurseries group. This group of nurseries are the only independent nursery schools to have been inspected by an independent schools inspection and regulatory office for Education from the UK.
Child's Play is ideally located in Umm Suqeim, just off the third interchange, 10 minutes from the Lakes, Greens, Springs and Meadows.
We offer a door-to-door, or pick-up-point bus service to and from these areas. Details are available upon request.
Our Classrooms are specifically set up to enhance the children's learning, and are equipped with the very best educational toys and games made from all natural materials.
We believe that we offer only the highest standards of care and Early Years Education. Staff at Child's Play are specifically qualified in the area that they are practicing.
Ongoing observation and appraisal of staff ensures continued stability and quality in teaching standards and care. |

Philosophy
Child's Play incorporates a unique and distinctive approach to educating children, aiming to enable each stage of growth to be fully and vividly enjoyed and experienced. We aim to provide a balanced approach to the modern school curriculum. The academic, artistic and social aspects, or 'head, heart & hands', are treated as complementary facets of a single program of learning, allowing each to throw light on the others.
This is implemented by using art as a practice, and language to develop the feelings, by nourishing the children with the rich heritage of wise folk tales, histories, fairy stories, poems, music and games that are part of our world civilisation. This creates the cultural atmosphere in which the children are taught reading, writing, arithmetic, nature study, geography, science, languages, music and other subjects.
"The need for imagination, a sense of truth and a feeling of responsibility - these are the three forces which are the very nerve of education."
Rudolf Steiner
